Solo Ride – New Thrunton Killer Loop

Hello Dudes

I popped up to Thrunton on Sunday; I’d been suffering from a chest infection, which seems to be sorted with a good dose of Amoxicillin. Everyone else was either recovering from the Northern Rock Cyclone, ill or away.

So I did a bit of exploring and found a new (to me) trail along the by the burn, the trail is sublime and seems to go on forever :)

So my new killer loop is; Ride up to the Cairn, ride off the back, then Traverse of the Dogs, Eiger Sanction, along the singletrack by Coe Burn, up the Road and on to Coe Crag, Descend from Coe Crag, up Breitling Boulevard (carry on past Traverse), down Cresta (could do Burnham Woods instead) and then you can finish with any of these HP Sauce, Camel Toe or Block House.

Touch wood, I seem to have cracked the leg cramps :) although they’re pretty stiff this morning

Also this was the first ride on the CCDB shock and its quality. It seems to have endless travel and the rear end stuck like super glue on the climbs. Also I lowered the pressure on the forks; the small bump sensitivity is miles miles better over the tree roots

I’m heading back tomorrow night for some more :)

Jamie
